Abyss is a strategy game for 2 to 4 players where players become leaders of powerful factions, each trying to bring glory and freedom to their people. Players gain resources to build advanced machines, which help them find even more valuable minerals. On the main board, players discover Random Fields, where they can get Random Cards that offer special benefits, allowing for creative strategies and surprising moves. These fields also give players the chance to buy a teleport to another Random Field, opening up new tactical choices.
When it’s time for combat, players first buy combat cards at the Barracks to strengthen their forces, and then move to a second board called the Combat Board, where exciting battles take place. Players fight monsters to gain rare resources, and besides monster battles, they can also challenge each other, testing their tactical skills.
The main goal of the game is to defeat all players or Abyss, a tyrant who rules a mythical realm. Only the bravest leaders can face him and free their people from his control.
