Description

The fragment of an old contract between Zilor the barbed devil and the city of Moonlight Bay found in the wreckage of Ralvir’s sled has your guild leader, Razos Maz, incredibly concerned. Not only is the power contained in such an artifact immense, but Ralvir’s possession of it suggests that his devil-worshipping cult, the Crimson Covenant, may be more powerful than previously thought.

The only silver lining to an otherwise dark cloud is that Zilor’s attacks on the city and its officials have suddenly stopped. While the reprieve is welcomed by many, there are those, especially in the Thieves of Moonlight Bay, who worry the worst is yet to come.

New intelligence suggests that the cult may be operating out of a local cavern system a few miles outside of Moonlight Bay known to locals as the Throat of the Bay. With them are the other scraps of Zilor’s ancient contract. With this comes another mission for you and your rapidly rising team of thieves: infiltrate the cave, steal the remaining portions of the contract, and get out before the cultists discover you. And, if possible, uncover their sinister plot before it’s too late…

This adventure is sized for a party of four level 7 characters of any class, but can be easily adapted for any Tier 2 party. It's also designed to be run over a lunch hour or other short length of time, though it can be easily extended to fit into a normal evening's D&D session.
