From publisher blurb:
Soaring through the skies on ethereal wings and releasing energetic waves on unsuspecting forces, the enhanced Dragon Knight brings to the battlefield the unrivaled power of mighty dragons. The Dragon Knight is a martial class that draws power from a pact made with a powerful, sometimes otherworldly, dragon. These wyrm-bound soldiers and draconic avatars channel the power of their patrons, utilizing a specialized transformation and its mighty breath weapon to augment their fighting styles.
Forming a pact with a dragon is not without its benefits. Unleash powerful elemental strikes, rupture the ground where your enemies stand, and freeze them to the core with these draconic abilities. Each of the five Draconic Pacts within this class—Arcane, Divine, Flame, Frost, and Terrestrial—represents one of many aspects or abilities that a dragon can hold and provide to grant new and unique draconic powers.
As a Dragon Knight grows stronger, they begin to shape the power bestowed upon them into a specialization: a Draconic Order. This archetype defines a Dragon Knight's abilities and shapes their identity under often shared teachings or individual paths. The eight Draconic Orders contained here provide vastly different playstyles, which include:
Order of the Bersagliere. Draconic marksmen with the far-seeing eyes of their patrons. The Bersagliere channels their breath weapon into their ammunition to unleash powerful shots.
Order of the Bladekeeper. Warriors with a limitless supply of ethereal arms to be summoned at will—copies of existing weapons to be enhanced, used, and then destroyed.
Order of the Dragoon. Skybound knights that crash down from high above to unleash waves of disastrous kinetic energy upon impact. The Dragoon is the archetypical Dragon Knight.
Order of the Energetic Soul. Weaponless bruisers and martial artists with an impenetrable unarmed defense that fuel their fists with the elemental energy of dragons.
Order of the Formshifter. Shapeshifters that allow their patron’s power to completely overcome their bodies to take on the form of an almighty dragon.
Order of the Scalebringer. Dragon Knights that fight alongside a summoned avatar of their patron as their companion. The more powerful Scalebringers are also known as Dragon Riders.
Order of the Treasurer. Expert treasure hunters and keepers of dragon hoards that sacrifice acquired wealth to their patrons in exchange for potent boons.
Order of the Wyrm Mage. Draconic spellcasters who specialize in one of several arcane styles to magically enhance their martial techniques or cast powerful magics.
