The Emissary

Game ID: GID0328644
Collection Status
Description

Out of the planar chaos, jumping between portals, calling powerful weapons and companions to their aid, and bending the fabric of space itself, the planar emissary emerges on to the battlefield.

The hero's handy void is a common trope in storytelling, whether it be Mary Poppins "bag of holding" or Newt Scamander's travel lab, but it gets little attention in the world of D&D apart from a few spells and the iconic bag of holding. The emissary class seeks to remedy that by making the void a more direct and accessible tool more akin to what we see from characters in the likes of Fantastic Beasts, Fate/Stay Night, or Portal.

The emissary class is a light class with three sub-class options to create variety and allow the player to mold their character more freely. Designed with a background and mechanical implications that could allow it to be played in feasibly any setting, the class utilizes mechanics that separate it from the rest but don’t make it too alien of a concept to fit in a casual game.
