Ugly is the make of the Fachan.
There is one eye in the middle of his head,
one arm in the middle of his chest,
one leg in the middle of his haunch,
and one tuft on the top of his head.
And it would be easier to pull a mountain up by the root than to bend one hair of that tuft.
Fachans are solitary marauders, haunting the bleakest and most inhospitable parts of the Scottish Highlands. A few have been encountered in Ireland.
