The Final Commander

Game ID: GID0329925
Collection Status
Description

A hand management game, where players play with 1 of the four available civilizational decks in a turn based battlefield strategy game. Additionally, there is a Battlfield event deck which is utilised for common impacts on all players at the beginning of every turn.

The objective of the game is to defend your Commander with your Units on the battlefield, while trying to take out opponent's Line of Defense and take out opponent's Commander(s) to win the game.

Each deck has historically inspired units, resources, and special ability cards. Unit types are placed on the field in Line of Offense, and Line of Defense to attack the opponent and fend of opponent's attacks respectively.

In each turn, players draw cards to their hands, and perform upto 3 actions among placing a unit on the field, moving units between Line of Offense and Defense, using a Resource card or a Special Ability card, and launching direct attack on a Commander if the opponent has no Line of Defense.

The game winning condition is Last Commander standing and if decks run out before this happens, then the game is drawn.
