Deep in The Dormant Precipice, a small volcanic mountain range, a tribe of Kobolds have both discovered a maze of tunnels and pools in an expanse below. The kobolds of the Rocksniffers tribe have used divination magic to follow a hearty vein of ore into the biggest cavern in the area.
They intend to create a den in the cavern and extend their mining efforts through the tunnels. However, when settling into the tunnels, they inadvertently stumbled across a lava flow below the surface. From these exposed pools of lava, a colony of Emberling have found a minor tear between planes and have been slowly making their way through. The Emberling view these new interlopers as playthings, while the kobold fear the Emberling’s fiery touch.
Passing through this tunnel system after their path through the mountains is blocked by rockfall, the party must decide on the best course of action. Side with the kobolds, skirt round the Emberlings or pursue their own path through the winding caverns.
The Flaw is Lava is designed for a party of 4-6 adventures of levels 6 - 8 and can be inserted within your campaign’s travel sequences as needed.
