The Forgotten City

The protagonist awakens near the Tiber River in Italy, having just been rescued from drowning by a mysterious individual named Karen. She asks the player character to look for her friend who disappeared whilst investigating the nearby ruins. As the player explores said ruins, they tumble into the era of the Roman Empire. The city is under the protection of the Gods, where if anyone is to commit a sin, all citizens of the city will be equally punished and turned to gold in a system referred to as the Golden Rule.
