Description

The Chad Valley catalogue from 1910 stated that this is "The best indoor football game invented - highly popular with followers of the game." -----from the book "PLAYING THE GAME" by Brian Love, 1978.

The object of the game is to be the one to score a predetermined number of goals first. Players alternate throwing a die and moving forward that number of spaces, each moving from the center, on the ball, in the opposite direction toward the goal they wish to score. Certain spaces on the track award fouls, throw-ins, penalties, and offsides that result in the player's marker being moved forward or backward on the track.

If a player is close enough to their chosen goal (space 25), they score a goal by rolling a number high enough to go past 25. Landing on 25 itself allows the goalie to make the save and punt the ball back to space 5.

Either side scoring a goal sends both player's markers back to the ball in the center to start again. It is recommended to play a "best of 5" match.
