You remember being a real human kid once, a long time ago. Before they built the school. Before they stretched you out on the foundation stone and cut out your heart.
But you’re not so angry anymore. Now you go to classes, attend pep rallies, run for student council. You’re on the spirit squad and you’ve lettered in track. They wanted you to bless this school, and you’ve done your job well.
