This game requires exactly five players. Each player assumes the role of a defined prisoner at a gulag. Characters are pre-generated. Each character's build, goals, and problems must remain secret prior to play. Each character has various options and challenges. Players use bidding tokens during play; bids are kept hidden until actually played. The required secret information does require an unusual distribution format for them game, as follows:
