The Hard War

The hard war is a small 2-player cardbased wargame with a strong political message. In the game, players take the roles of nationalist factions, locked in a brutal civil conflict. In the game the players try to take control of the 7 largest cities in the country by playing attack cards on them. The player who first gain 4 victory points wins the game.
HOWEVER, each attack card results in a hidden amount of civilian casualties. With special media report cards, players can reveal the actual number of dead and if the total exceeds 200.000, an armed UN-intervention occurs, resulting in an immediate end to the war. In the following war crimes tribunals, the player with the fewest dead are instead the winner.
