The Honey Island Swamp Monster

Game ID: GID0334701
Collection Status
Description

Once upon a Cajun swamp, a traveling circus, folks say, was headed through the bayou on the way to perform in New Orleans when one of their cages of prize performing Chimpanzees sprang open and all escaped into the bog, never to be seen again...

That is, until a new creature emerged, haunting the area around honey island where the chimps disappeared - a creature part ape, part alligator, causing folks to come to one dreaded conclusion: Those escaped chimps must have interbred with the local gator population!! A legend was born - a horrific, flesh eating monster that can both swim and climb, all with the terrific intelligence of the great apes. Perhaps, the creature is the result of some dastardly wizards experiment gone wrong, or perhaps the superstitious are right.

This Monster was developed by DiceKnight Adventures' Head of Design, Joshua the Sage, in collaboration with @DevonBorkowskiArt, who did the illustration. The two travel the country working for Renaissance Faires, and in their spare time, they collect local legends and lore, and code them into 5e D&D Lore Packs, like this one.
