Some time ago, the Huank woke up to find their home and their neighbors violently ripped into Hyperspace (the maroon painted between-plane that is exploited for interplanetary travel). The jarring transition erased all memories of where they came from and what had brought them to hyperspace. While a portion of their village had travelled with them, their water system was irreparably compromised, leaving their immediate prospects bleak.
Desperate but pragmatic, the Huank decided that the only logical strategy for survival was to locate other lifeforms living in the psychedelic wasteland and find a way to exploit their resources. Eventually, the Huank were able to find a way back to the material plane and set up their own colonies. From these few private and sustainable enclaves, Huank task groups seek to determine what stole them from their original home and how to prevent the tragedy from reoccurring.
