Uniquely suited to the enchantments of magical items, the inheritor grows alongside their unique artifact. As you unlock the secrets of your artifact, it grows in power and you likewise become more capable of utilizing the powers implanted in magical items.
The inheritor class is, initially, comparable to the artificer. Its abilities center around utilizing a unique artifact to the utmost. Sub-classes function as a means of mechanical direction, allowing the inheritor to select their favored approach to problem solving—including potentially becoming a full caster. As a third tier of customization, the inheritor creates a unique magical item—akin to the vestiges of divergence used in Critical Role—alongside their character.
