The Knights of the Polar Lights

Game ID: GID0336623
Collection Status
Description

The tundra of the polar regions is a stark and harsh environment with frigid winters and chilly summers. Despite the bleak conditions of limited vegetation and wildlife, there is also beauty to be seen in the snowy, icy landscape and in the auroras that often paint the night sky with a palette of red, green, and blue. These auroras are frequent natural phenomena in polar regions, neither good nor evil. Individual cultures might ascribe these qualities to the lights, especially if they believe in a mythical or magical origin for the auroras.

Some tundra cultures have developed ways of tapping into the energies of the auroras, creating an order of warriors known as the Knights of the Polar Lights. As a Knight of the Polar Lights, you have learned how to harness auroral energies to imbue yourself and your weapons with radiant light. You were the benefactor of a ceremony performed by another Knight of the Polar Lights or by a priest of your people. Often held in winter when the nights are long and deep and the auroras are bright, these rituals vary from culture to culture. Once a year, again usually during winter, you must repeat the ceremony to recharge your auroral energies.
