The Last Day of Rose: A Malign Age is a cooperative card game for 3-5 players. Players will take on the roles of friends and relatives of Rose, a girl with severe depression and suicidal thoughts. Players will need to work together to the best of their abilities to accompany and care for Rose through multiple scenarios, each with their own unique challenges.
On a player’s turn, he or she must play a card from his/her hand which he/she has drawn from his/her character’s unique deck. All the cards have two kinds of effects to choose: a positive one might let player help with Rose’s wellbeing or add a more powerful card to their decks etc. A negative one will harm Rose’s mental state or add a harmful card to a player’s deck etc. All cards from the players’ hands must be played (or discarded) in order to complete a round, yet each player can only resolve a limited number of positive effects depending on the efforts they can spend.
The game is won if Rose's life is saved.
