The Leader Class' main function is that of a commanding presence on the battlefield and a rather social person outside of combat. Their prowess lies in commanding their Band of Followers so they build themselves a niche between the fighter, rogue and in a way a spell-less bard.
The Leader leads a seperate unit of Followers using the rules for Swarms in an simplifying and abstract way to avoid too many dice rolls and still serving the fantasy being a leading figure.
This Band of Followers is the foundation of the class and serves many uses, especially as soon as one reaches third level and chooses between being a Martial, Spiritual or Outlaw Leader Type.
