Gran was Dreaming.
She stood behind the front desk of the city library.
Her desk looked exactly as it always had.
The scattered pens, stacks of returned books to be shelved, and half finished bundle of knitting. Her cup of tea gently steaming. The gentle, parchment-yellow light of her desk lamp.
A voice echoed somewhere far off. Come and see.
She looked up. The library did not look as it always had.
It stretched out. Impossibly far and deep. Shelves yawning ahead until her tired eyes could no longer make out the definition of the books and shelf frames.
Pandemonium.
