The Lovers is a solitaire game played with a Tarot deck. The player takes on the role of the the archangel Raphael and must find 22 pairs of lovers from the Minor Arcana to connect their fates each to a different Major Arcana before the deck runs out. Lovers must share the same rank or the same suit, and their values can be added, subtracted, multiplied, or divided to match the value of a Major Arcana card. Nobles (represented by the court cards) can be used to bless certain unions, altering the individual or total value of the lovers. But they must be used sparingly, since the end of the deck means the end of the game.
