Fueling the Hunt
“You won't even take your bow? Are you planning to throttle a moose with your bare hands, then?" "I've a knife in my boot," she said, and then wondered, for a moment, if she could throttle a moose with her bare hands.” ― Kristin Cashore, Graceling
Champions of the Moon
Many rangers are inspired to enter their line of work by stories of great rangers and hunters of the past, and one such group of legendary hunters is the huntresses of Artemis, women who swore themselves to a life without love to be granted magical abilities and immortality. Some merely seek to carry on the legacy of the hunters of Artemis, and feminine people everywhere will still swear themselves to the code that Artemis followed. Others carry on a legacy from their ancestors, many of whom left the order of huntresses when worship of Artemis fell out of favor or their ancestor left the favor of the goddess.
