This adventure one-shot follows the story of the Nutcracker from a different perspective. The player characters are all toys belonging to a girl named Clara. These toys are her favorite ones that she has received as presents throughout the years. The toys watch as a mysterious figure enters the room. None at the party seem to know him, but as he introduces himself as Uncle Drosselmeyer, he strokes his pointy mustache and the adults at the party seem to fall under some sort of spell. They immediately treat him as a guest of honor. Drosselmeyer then puts the whole family to sleep and kidnaps Clara using some trickery and his present to her, a nutcracker doll.
The Sugarplum Fairy offers to bring Clara's toys to life to head off into the realm of the Feywild to save Clara from Drosselmeyer's plan.
