The Dwarves of the Red Foot Clan worked mines in the mountains nearby for centuries. They pulled valuable gems and minerals out of these mines and made their clan wealthy and powerful. One of these mines, however, was abandoned after more than a hundred years of use. The mine was said to be cursed and the Dwarves would not speak of it to outsiders.
