From publisher blurb:
You think immortality sounds fun? It’s not. Look at Moltenheart. He did his best, gave 100% for the dwarves and even went so far as to make a deal with the Great Worm for them. Big mistake. True, he probably didn’t know as much about the Great Worm as Toys aficionados do, but he ended up in jail and not only that, with a hundred broken bones to boot. Dying? He craved that pleasant escape, but, too bad, it wasn’t available to the likes of him. So, please, some compassion here. Get through the mountains of Ikkibu-Kur, outwit the demons. Rescue the old guy. Maybe get the Burrower’s Compass from that survivalist in the valley and whisk Moltenheart’s misshapen bones to sanctuary somewhere. A comfy niche with the Unaligned? The Secret Sisters? It won’t be a walk in the park, but Moltenheart needs a hero. You.
Toys for the Sandbox is not a module, it is not a campaign setting, instead it is a framework for GMs to use to reinforce their own imaginations. Sometimes players zig when you expect them to zag, other times they take your plot point into a back alley and leave it penniless and bleeding. Each week we present a new location with a map and some flavor text. In addition we add 4 NPCs with a bit of history and a few simple thoughts on how to stat them for whatever game you are playing. There are also 6 plot hooks each with 3 ways to twist them. Added to that there is usually a table or two filled with rumors and encounters.
