A tumulus is a raised mound of earth and stones usually located over graves. Tumuli are also known as barrows and burial mounds. Sometimes the denizens buried inside fail to pass to the next existence and instead haunt the tumulus, attacking would be looters and anyone else who dares to trespass on their domain.
