Description

User summary:

The Perrin Conventions originated in 1976 as a set of alternative rules for combat in Dungeons & Dragons (Original Edition), which soon led to Steve Perrin's work on RuneQuest (1st & 2nd Editions). Early portions of The Perrin Conventions were published in Alarums & Excursions where they continued to develop and mature until abt. 1979.

What is probably the most-definitive version of The Perrin Conventions was published in All the Worlds' Monsters II - this version subsequently was self-published by the author as a standalone electronic document.

An unpublished, annotated version of The Perrin Conventions is held privately by Lee Gold. In addition to light annotations this version includes a 5-page segment entitled "Perrin Conventions: Sequence of Play" authored by Steve Perrin.
