The Priest of Fictis

Game ID: GID0343557
Collection Status
Description

Derchum the Holy, High Priest of Fictis (God of Agriculture), has recently embedded himself into the lives of the good people of Still Waters. "Worship Fictis through me," proclaimed Derchum, "and you will be assured good harvests for years to come."

The townsfolk eagerly complied, even building a temple to honor Fictis.

On the surface all appeared to be going well; the people took to worshipping Fictis and the harvests were successful. However, Derchum was not a High Priest. He was an ex-rogue who was running a scam that was building a pile of money big enough for him to retire on.

And then one day the 'High Priest' disappeared.

Where did he go? What was the scam he was running?

Can your party of adventurers help find Derchum and uncover his secret?

This is a non-combat, investigative one-shot adventure with an emphasis on talking to NPCs to uncover clues to the High Priest's where-a-bouts (and hopefully to discover how he was conning the townsfolk). It will suit lower level characters and even though it makes some references to DnD5e mechanics it can be played in almost any TTRPG.
