The Racetrack

User Summary

This simple TRS-80 game has you guiding a "Grand Prix" race car down a twisting racetrack that is filled with potholes. The object is to get to the finish line of each racetrack which takes you to the next difficulty level and a more dangerous track. If you run off the road or hit one of the potholes you must start the race over again.

The game is played from an overhead view with your car driving "down" the screen as the roadway and obstacles scroll up from the bottom of the screen. The controls allow you to steer left and right at two different rates - normal and fast.

The game offered rudimentary sound if you plugged the TRS-80 cassette cable into a speaker.
