In the game, one player controls the Rat God character, one player controls the Girlfriend character, and the remaining players control the Chosen. The Chosen can be played collectively or in groups (factions) as desired. Play proceeds with tokens and dice. Tokens can be spent to simply bypass die rolls during narrative conflict. Tokens also can be spent for special effects, depending on which character spends them.
