Of all the Supernal Sects of the Unbound, the Remnant are unique in as much as they do not recognise the contribution of the modern Five. This is because the Supernal of the Remnant is the vengeful Greater Spirit known as Molek. The Ancients of Earth worshipped Molek as the protector of souls which passed to the Realm of Kur to be processed for judgement. Molek fell for the human Unbound sorceress, Rissa of Mycenae, who performed a ritual which cursed Molek to walk the Earth in his avatar form for a thousand years. Molek became a great living hero to the humans, but found that his legacy as a Deity was become tarnished beyond recognition. After the death of Rissa, Molek began performing increasingly prestigious heroic feats before retiring to the Isle of Aegina.
Molek’s whereabouts between that time and the modern nights remain unknown. All that is known is that Molek has returned to claim rulership of the Unbound of the Earth Realm and, some say, beyond. It is the belief of Molek’s Adherents that many acts of cruelty and weakness have been attributed to Molek’s name in order to undermine his influence. This is their justification for the inherent enmity they project during their interaction with other Sects.
HOW TO USE THIS EXPANSION
For this Expansion you will require the Prevail Unbound Core Rulebook (CRB) and a method to record any additional information. Any additional dice required will be listed.
This Expansion is provided to demonstrate how the system may be expanded upon. The Storyteller and Players may work together to come up with additional Specialisations which enhance gameplay, Character development, or the adventure as a whole.
It is advantageous for the Storyteller to familiarise themselves with the contents of this Expansion in full. Players who wish to adopt any Specialities contained within may also read and digest the information within this Expansion.
