Description
A guard at Buckingham Palace is found murdered under circumstances which implicate a member of the Royal Family. Queen Victoria is worried that an official inquiry would result in lurid newspaper articles. To avoid damaging the prestige of the monarchy, she directs the Chamberlain to conduct a preliminary investigation. He has 48 hours before Scotland Yard intercedes.
