A challenging encounter for 3rd-5th level characters

When the extensive sewer systems of Waterdeep were built, numerous clay golems were used to excavate the tunnels. Many of these were simply abandoned and forgotten when the work was done, left to slowly decay over the centuries.

As their physical forms decayed from constant immersion in caustic sewage, the magic binding the elemental spirit to the material plane gradually replaced their failing bodies with the waste itself. Now, all that remains is a mass of liquid excrement driven mad by its agonizing dysmorphia...
