Description

From publisher blurb:

The Cradle of Dusk drifts through the cold, endless void, its sleek design marred by years of wear and silence. Once a symbol of unity and resilience among the scattered remnants of Haven Fallen, it now hangs forgotten in the shadows of a dying star. The station was built to withstand the collapse of civilizations, its purpose to serve as both sanctuary and laboratory—a place where the brightest minds of the remnants could forge a path forward. But now, it has become something else. Something darker. Something wrong. No communication has been received from the Cradle of Dusk in over a year, and those who venture too close to investigate never return. Rumours abound, whispered in the underbelly of the surviving worlds, of strange signals emanating from the station, incomprehensible to any known language. Some claim to have intercepted faint recordings: muffled screams, garbled words, and a deep, inhuman hum. The station’s last transmissions spoke of a breakthrough in survival technology—nanotech engineered to adapt and thrive in the harshest environments. But whatever they unlocked seems to have turned on its creators, consuming them in silence and secrecy. The factions of Haven Fallen are at odds. Some wish to destroy the station from afar, eliminating the threat at the cost of its secrets. Others see it as an opportunity to reclaim lost knowledge and technology that could tip the balance of power. A desperate alliance of scavengers, scientists, and mercenaries has been formed to venture aboard the Cradle of Dusk and uncover the truth. Their goal: retrieve data, salvage tech, and, if possible, find any survivors. What they don’t know is that the station itself is alive, its corridors patrolled by the remnants of its original inhabitants—twisted, self-repairing amalgamations of flesh and machine driven by a single purpose: to assimilate all life.

In this Solo Adventure you assume the role of a Character in a Dark Science Fantasy setting. You will require The Haven Fallen Core Rulebook (CRB), and any associated Expansions you wish to use to assist you, along with a pen and paper or word-processing document, to play.

The story is set up with an Introduction, a handful of location details and a few pertinent Story Points. The rest is down to you and your imagination.

The Actions you take should depend on who and what you see, and how you wish to interact. Keep a record of your story and adapt it as per the result of each Action. As you progress you will see that you are behaving as your own Storyteller, creating the interactive world in which you are playing.

Use the Character Creation section of the CRB to create your Character and use the Storyteller section of the CRB to assist with generating NPCs.

Once you have familiarised yourself with the following few pages, you are ready to begin.
