Description

From Introduction:

Th ere are wizards who weave the astral slime through the folds inside their brains to call it into being when they need it, and there are sorcerers who have become the slime itself. Between them, not quite one or the other, is Meleksineh. Most of the time, she appears human, albeit sickly enough to make one think she should be in bed. But whenever she wills it, the acidic ooze pours forth from beyond time and space to encase her in its gelatinous grasp and punish those who have wronged her.

If one can survive her wrath for long enough, one may notice that not even Meleksineh herself is immune to the corrosive effects of the ooze. Just as it eats away the flesh of her enemies, so too does it eat away at her. But Meleksineh has a special advantage over the ooze that allows her to maintain control — she is already dead. In fact, she has been dead for centuries, and whatever parts of her body become dissolved in ooze can be regrown. Just like a vampire, all she needs is blood.

When Meleksineh travels incognito, she wears multiple layers of thick, inexpensive clothing, so that when her slime suit eats these layers away, the cost is minimal, and her apprentices carry replacements. Th ese students of the slime arts are excessively loyal to her, often to a fault. She is quite open about turning them into slime creatures should
they fail to live up to her expectations.
