Desert nomads and traveling merchants have long steered clear of the sand-pitted walls and cracked spires of the fabled “city of dreams”, for the woeful moans and high-pitched shrieks that emanate from its locked gates seem an ominous warning of what could be unfolding within. Those who do bravely scale its walls are never seen again. Rumors of great magic and immeasurable wealth are enough to lure explorers to the city, although many, hearing the unnatural sounds and sensing death in the air, turn from the desert settlement in sudden fear for their lives. What lies beyond the walls of the ageless Slumbering City, and can its riches truly make anyone brave enough to enter rich beyond their wildest desires?
