Description

Publisher's blurb:

The canal was created to increase the waterfront of the city and improve its trade prospects. In this way the guilds of the city paid respect to the gods of trade and rivers, but also allowed for many more traders to conduct swift and effective commerce. This led to a period of financial growth for the city and the canal is seen as a symbol of prosperity and one of the few times the guilds collaborated successfully for the benefit of all.

However, over the recent decades the city has been hit by harder times. Foreign lands have opened up competing trade routes and some of the lustre of the city has dulled. Unfortunately for the council, nefarious groups have decided to use the waterfront properties as a staging point for black market activities. It seems not everyone wants to pay the shipping taxes that the city officials wish to level and would prefer some goods arrived surreptitiously.

The Smuggler’s Hideout sits on the canal and is just such a black market supply point.

This open source adventure location is a standalone scenario that is designed to fit into an existing campaign, or be the jumping off point for one.
