The Stewardship Game

Game ID: GID0348708
Collection Status
Description

"This game was designed to be fun, but also to teach important principles about Christian Stewardship. The game emphasizes that being a good steward is a way of life, and that it is about the daily decisions we make in the use of out time, talent and treasure." (From the teacher's packet included with the game.)

Players roll a die to move around the board, reading aloud from one of four types of cards that match the square they landed on, then acting out what the card says to do. If the player lands on a "Word on Stewardship" space, they draw a card from that stack and have thirty seconds to look up the Bible verse listed on it. (Bible and timer are NOT included in the game pieces.) If the player cannot find the verse in time, they move backwards on the board. If they do find the verse, play halts until the player reads the verse aloud.

Play continues until one player lands on the "Well done good and Faithful Steward" by exact roll. This person is the winner.
