From the introduction:
The Three Clans is a roleplaying game set in a world where three barbarian tribes are spiralling towards an inevitable war. You take on the role of War Leader of ones of those clans, as well as prominent positions within the clans of your fellow players. The game forces you to examine what personal sacrifices you are willing to make on your quest to secure victory for your tribe and drives scenes and story forwards with its card based, see-sawing, conflict resolution mechanic.
The Three Clans is a strictly three player game with no game master and assumes that you are familiar enough with roleplaying to know how to narrate your character’s actions and confident enough to frame scenes and drive the game forward for the other players as well as for yourself. It also assumes that you know what a standard deck of cards is and what d10s are, and what to do with them (psst, they’re 10 sided dice…)
