The Aerys Gathering, a gathering of Dragons, is a week-long celebration held in The Prismata Enclave once every 10 years, and it has descended upon the city; a peaceful time of connection, friendship, and trade honoring the lives of the Great Dragons and the history of Drakon. Dragons from every corner of the world are in attendance, their Camps, big and small, trailing loyally behind the One they serve. For those whose dragons choose to attend, it is a life-changing experience.
Though several Camps are still on their way to the great Enclave, many have already arrived, establishing temporary Camps in and around Prismata. Gathering events have already begun; tribes and dragons face each other in mock combat, contests, and games while sprawling markets offer the chance for tribes to trade weapons, armor, and goods. Taverns and shops provide a respite from the bustling roads and a chance to meet beings belonging to other tribes, the perfect place to exchange tales of travel and adventure, stories of cultural events and celebrations, and offer advice to newcomers. The festivities have been leading up to the most anticipated event of the Aerys Gathering: the Dance of the Dragons. Oftentimes, this dance is the only time attendants of dragons get to see the magnificent beauty and full power of the dragons they do not serve on full display and is nearly holy in its observance. Camps use this performance as an opportunity to exclaim their adoration and pride in the dragon they serve, which commonly leads to Camp competitions.
While there is no dragon inherently more important than another, this Gathering is truly a once in a lifetime experience because Sotiramaki the Liberator, the renowned Fluorite Dragon that helped defeat the Warlords Vrela and Grazthralal decades ago, is in attendance.
