Description

From publisher blurb:

Mordenheigan’s Vault of Wonders! The halls are full of treasures, both animate and not. The walls are made of gem-studded obsidian, pressed into dense plates of silky smooth black. Gold capped columns hold up the lapis ceilings which glitter with the stars of night. The walkpaths are laden with a gold-trimmed red carpet, with the remaining space a smooth black marble. These halls are filled with Wonders and Horrors in equal measure, often blurring the line between the two.

Mordenheigan is the Master of the Vault of Wonders. Originally, he traveled from world to world petrifying various people and creatures, bringing them back to put on display in his vault. He eventually gave up on the practice after being shown mercy by a group of adventurers sent to rescue their petrified boss from his collection. He has now recruited and created many allies, who wield their power to create beautiful creatures of living stone. Despite softening somewhat, Mordenheigan still has a nigh-insatiable penchant for evil.

This place is an incredibly dangerous museum-esque adventure for high level characters. It is stuffed full of death and danger as well as a ridiculous amount of treasure and magic items. It is connected to the ‘Gallery of Wondrous Sundries’ to the west, and the ‘Caverns of Steel’ to the north. This “museum” only permits name-level characters to enter. Everyone else is killed on sight.
