The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - The Final Season is a "Season Pass Disc" physical release by Skybound Games for PlayStation 4, Xbox One. Released on March 26, 2019; the disc contains the first three episodes and granted access to download the remaining fourth episode as it only hit digital storefronts that same day. The Nintendo Switch physical version's "Season Pass Card" only includes the first episode, thus requiring a download of the remaining three episodes.
This is the first game published by the newly formed Skybound Games after the sudden closure of Telltale Games on September 21, 2018. Primarily intended to serve as a video game publisher, a quick pivot was made to include in-house development as a way of preserving the unfinished work on the game and to provide support and closure for former Telltale employees.
