Description

From publisher blurb:

'The Western Shrine' is a quick-adventure for a party of four 15th level characters. Very little adaptation should be necessary to use in any campaign setting.

Adventure Background
Between two mountains where a single stream descends from the mountain is the Western Shrine. It has stood for five hundred years, and many surrounding towns and villages pilgrimage there for their spiritual needs. A single family has kept the shrine for its entire history. That tradition continues today.

However now that lineage is threatened. A Hengeyokai who calls himself 'Pale Tiger' has taken the shrine with a group of powerful bandits. They demand five-hundred golden coins, one for every year the temple has stood, in order to release the family and restore the temple. His ransom has been sent, but even with the help of all the local settlements enough money could not be raised. Instead the local leaders implored their lord for help. He responded by raising the bounty on Pale Tiger to twice the ransom he demands. The lord has no intention of paying a bandit off, and has offered a thousand gold coins to anyone who can present the Pale Tigers head to him... with or without his body attached.

The party is given this task, and the reward is quite tasty. Pale Tiger is no pushover, and his bandits are known for being well-trained and deadly.
