The recent discovery of this important tablet allows a glimpse into an ancient post-battle practice; after the fighting had ended, women would search the battlefield to collect valuable items (such as weapons, armor-masks, jewelry, etc.) left by the fallen combatants. The women would then gather to trade in groups called naṣmadu (literally, ‘team’, referring to a group of four to eight people).
