The Wild Land

From the introduction:

There is the land.

People come and go, living and dying as regular as sunrise. At some point, it’s hard to tell them apart, as the same patterns echo again and again throughout time. Even civilizations cycle in and out, swooping into the land and setting borders as if they mean something. But those borders grow, move, twist, and die, while the land remains behind. It is vast and wild, ancient and secret. It is timeless. It is all there truly is.
