The Witch, The Wolf & the Wedding is primarily about storytelling. After picking the Players' role and who will Narrate, the beginning of the story is decided mutually between them. Once this has been established, the Narrator sets a task for the Players with a 3 day deadline.
Each day, Players will attempt to complete the task they have been laid. Additionally, the Narrator will set up a barrier to their completing it. The Players may call on one power every day to assist them with overcoming the barrier. If Players fail that day, it does not mean they will not succeed the next, but it does mean the task will become harder to complete.
After the days, there are the nights, when things in the woods come out to aid... or hinder.
The game requires the rules, a pencil and paper, pawns, and tokens. These represent your power in story telling. The tokens give power through their number, but the pawns represent a power by the Players beyond their normal physical abilities. These can be traded for automatic wins over where the story goes- but once they are used, they may not be called on again during that tale.
