Description

From publisher blurb:

Sometimes, magic just isn’t magical enough!

Throughout the history of FRPGs, most FRPG worlds were created with magic as an add-on. It wasn’t woven into the essential cores of those worlds. Magic was primarily for battle. Sometimes, it was considered in politics or transport, but that’s about it. What happens when everything is magical? This is what we call highest fantasy. Not just high fantasy - highest fantasy!

Sylansse is a world with an enormous amount of magic, but it still makes sense. There are new magics, and some more familiar types, but magic is part of the culture. Yes, of course there are still magical weapons, magic wands, enchanted shield, etc., but this is a world where there are magical sawmills, and the lumberjacks need to make sure they don’t run afoul of any dryads.

If you’re looking for a ton of new ideas, ideas you can easily use in your existing game world or use to craft a new game world, then Small Bites is what you’re looking for. Our goal is to take a subject, whether an archetype, a monster class, or some other FRPG theme and bring you as much content about it as we can. This time the theme is Highest Magic. While we are using the World of Sylansse as an example, it is only an example. We talk about all manner of ways to boost the magic in your campaign world while not letting the balance get out of hand. We know that the specific and generic examples contained here will give you enough ideas to get your imagination going!

This is the “World Walker” edition. The Game Master edition gives you even more, including ideas about campaigns, enemy characters, and world building. We know that whether you are a veteran or a starter, a player or a game master, you are all going to find things you can use - ideas to spark characters, campaigns and game worlds! Come on - You’ve got nothing to lose!
