The “Thirty Spectacular Sorcerer Items” is the first of our compilations for class-specific items. All of the items come with a brief description of their abilities, as per Fifth Edition rules, and about a half come with attached stories and hand-drawn illustrations.
In designing these items, we hoped to go beyond the usual routes of adding raw stat boosts. Rather, a lot of these items might change the way your sorcerers are played, and a few will improve their already impressive powers of metamagic and the use of sorcery points. Some will be particularly delightful to sorcerers of draconic or wild magic lineages. Others will appeal to those who have always wished to combine their magic with the ability to poke at monsters in melee, or have a limited ability to heal their wounds. That’s how we got to the bracers that tear at your flesh, in exchange for restoring your sorcery points, a belt that protects your characters when they fail miserably, or a dice that allows you to roll for a random boon or a calamity…
It is up to you, as a DM, or a player, to contemplate the introduction of these items in your stories. Some of them might be of good use to your villains, while others can give sorcerer-inspired powers to other classes – only a few specific items come with a class restriction. We hope that you have as much fun using them, as we had in making this collection.
