Rather than view it from only the present they look through the eyes of their past and future self to better prepare, recall lost information and act in the now, but then. The subclass is an arcane tradition that opens up options regarding spell preperation, setting up spells to cast in advance and overcoming surprise by seeing such events ahead of time.
