When strange disasters befall the fontier town of Kenamon, a party of adventurers is called to investigate. They must delve into the heart of a fallen desert kingdom where they face intelligent foes, battle through challenging combats, encounter devious traps and puzzles, explore the history of an ancient dwarven society, and even chat with a talking head before they must confront a long dead tyrant to end the threat on Anauroch for good.
Tomb of the Earth King is a classic dungeoncrawl adventure for D&D 5e. With clear instruction, it is easy to run and is appropriate for both new and experienced DMs/players. It can be run as a stand-alone oneshot or as part of an ongoing campaign. Though it is set in the Forgotten Realms, you can easily adapt it to suit any setting of your choice. It also has a tie-in to the WotC campaign Princes of the Apocalypse. You can run this adventure as a sidequest in Princes or you can run it as a sequel to that adventure in your current campaign.
