Tontine

A card game for 4 Players, Tontine is a game of Victorian murder and backstabbing. Years after a group of long time friends had pooled their money into a tontine, it is down to the last four surviving members. The former friends have become poor and desperate. Who be the last alive to claim the cash?

Players take turns trying to stabilize their position and forcing opponents to discard cards. Players may play "accidents", which if a player has no cards in hand, will be their undoing.

Accident - forces your victim to discard
Scheme - remains in play, grants various effects
Action - gives card advantage or information
Setting - current sociopolitical environment; affects all players and remains in play
